The third step is to complete the legal authorizations that allow us to perform the cremation. In Texas the legal next-of-kin is/are the only person(s) that may authorize the cremation of a deceased person (unless prior legal arrangements have been made). Texas Law requires that in addition to the Cremation Authorization, you sign a Denial of Embalming, a Disclosure and Disclaimer and a Statement of Goods and Services.
